Zendesk can change the rules whenever it wants. Here's what else.

Zendesk handles customer service software for businesses. We read their terms so you don't have to. Here's what sticks out.

🔴 Terms can flip with no warning. Zendesk can modify these terms anytime and they take effect the moment they post them. No advance notice required.

🔴 Any feature can disappear without explanation. The company reserves the right to change or discontinue any website feature at any time, and they don't have to tell you first.

🟡 Your account info needs to stay current. You're responsible for keeping your registration details up to date at all times. Let them go stale and the company has no obligation to keep working with you.

🟡 You can post, but not just anything. Users 13 and older can contribute content, but it can't be defamatory, illegal, or infringing on someone else's rights. That falls on you to police.

🟢 Data handling is spelled out separately. Service data—the actual stuff you're paying to store and manage—gets its own agreement with detailed protections built in.

B grade means the legal deck isn't stacked against you. But Zendesk's ability to rewrite terms overnight and kill features without notice is worth knowing about.

This breakdown is based on Zendesk's publicly available Terms of Service and/or Privacy Policy. It may contain mistakes. Spot one? Let us know.
