UiPath's Terms Are a Moving Target

UiPath reserves the right to change its terms whenever it wants, with no advance notice. The company provides enterprise automation software. Here's what we found.

๐Ÿ”ด UiPath can update terms unilaterally and without warning. Changes take effect immediately, leaving you to discover new restrictions or obligations after they're live.

๐Ÿ”ด Every license type has its own separate agreement. Trial, community, evaluation, and marketplace licenses each run under different rules. This fragmentation means you need to track multiple documents to understand what you're actually bound by.

๐ŸŸก The general terms don't cover your Marketplace activity. If you use UiPath Marketplace, those transactions are governed by a separate agreement not spelled out in the main terms you're shown.

๐ŸŸก Paid licenses point to a Master Software and Services Agreement that isn't provided. The published terms reference another agreement that controls paid licensing, but you only see it after you've committed.

๐ŸŸข UiPath keeps previous versions of its terms publicly available. At least you can see what changed and when.

Grade C reflects real friction: unilateral changes, fragmented agreements, and hidden terms for paid use. Not the worst we've seen, but enterprise customers should expect clearer upfront terms.

This breakdown is based on UiPath's publicly available Terms of Service and/or Privacy Policy. It may contain mistakes. Spot one? Let us know.
