Twitch's Terms: You're Bound, Your Account Is Your Problem, Minors Need Permission
August 25, 2026
Twitch has a C-grade safety profile. The platform is a live-streaming service where creators broadcast to audiences and viewers watch in real time.
π΄ Binding contract. Using Twitch at all means you've entered a legal agreement with them. No opt-out.
π΄ Account sharing is your liability. Share your login with anyone and you're responsible for everything they do on it. Twitch doesn't split the blame.
π‘ Minors need a guardian's yes. Kids under 18 can use Twitch, but parental supervision is required and you need explicit guardian consent to sign up.
π‘ Permanent bans stick. If Twitch has banned you before, you cannot use their services again. No appeals process mentioned.
π’ Privacy controls exist. Twitch publishes a Privacy Notice and gives you actual options for managing what data they collect.
The account liability rule is the sharper edge hereβyou can't claim you didn't know what someone else did with your credentials.
