ClickUp's Terms: Automatic Charges, Instant Shutdowns, and One Escape Hatch

ClickUp handles your project management. Their terms are a B-grade mix of aggressive billing practices and one reasonable protection. Here's what matters.

The billing traps:

🔴 Automatic renewal locks you in. You're charged again unless you cancel at least 30 days before your renewal date. Miss that window by one day and the next payment goes through.

🔴 ClickUp kills your account without warning over unpaid bills. Fall behind on fees and they can suspend or terminate your service immediately. No notice required.

🔴 Violation of terms = account termination. If you break the rules—or ClickUp thinks you did—they investigate and can shut you down. The terms don't specify what "violation" means or how long the process takes.

🟡 The 30-day satisfaction guarantee has walls. You get a refund window, but it only lasts 30 days and doesn't cover purchases made through a sales rep. If you bought direct from their website, you're covered. If a rep closed your deal, you're not.

🟢 Fee increases come with notice. ClickUp has to tell you 30 days in advance if they're raising prices at renewal. You can see it coming.

The good news: one solid consumer protection. The bad news: they can kill your account over money, and the automatic renewal is as aggressive as it gets.
